While it’s getting a little old now, Deus Ex is one of the greatest PC games every released. However, it’s still getting a lot of love. The developer behind the already incredible GMDX Mod is still hard at work, making the game better than ever.
The mod has just been updated to version 9, and with this new update, you will get a lot of new changes. The games game’s art direction, artificial intelligence, augmentations are all improved. Also, the effects, animations, graphics, user interface and more are all heavily overhauled.
Not only does the game look better than ever, it plays better than ever. Enemy pathfinding is vastly improved, almost everything in the game now has physics, and the whole world just feels more modern. It feels alive and interactive.
A classic, but wait, there’s more! The weapons are improved too, as is the games in-depth RPG system. There’s also a bunch of bug fixes and improvements to the game’s balance. That last part comes courtesy of the new variable difficulty settings.
This is still Deus Ex. The development of GMDX has had one clear focus, and that’s to stay true to the original. It’s strange how almost every detail is different, but it doesn’t detract from what we know and love, it enhances it.
“GMDX is a modification of the classic video game Deus Ex for PC. Frequently cited by fans to be the “Definitive Deus Ex Experience”, GMDX faithfully improves nearly every aspect of the game in consistent logical fashion. GMDX is available in English, French, German, Spanish and Russian. GMDX also comes bundled with the excellent HDTP and New Vision graphics mods, and improves upon the efforts of both.” – GMDX
You can download the latest version of GMDX from the official website. Of course, you’ll need a copy of the game too, but you already have that, right?
