Great news for those of you who are buying a PlayStation 4, but also great news for those of you who have yet to pick up Diablo 3. While sure the game is out on PC, although with a less than favourable reputation given that the game was effectively broken, and the game is also out on the PlayStation 3, which we absolutely loved now that a seemingly endless amount of fixes, changes and tweaks had been made to it, but the PS4 edition could be even better yet.
With the graphics turned right up to 11 on the PlayStation 4 release, higher resolution and a better frame rate, Diablo 3 will have never looked so good on a console. Known as the Ultimate Evil Edition the PlayStation 4 release of the game will also include the Reaper of Souls expansion, touchpad integration and new social features (most likely to suit the PS4 friend system).
Adventure Kills are now added, when you are killed by a monster there is a chance that the monster will level up and jump into your friends game. This will post up a message to your friend (in-game) “Matthew’s bane is stalking you”, the monster will then attack your friend in their game and if they kill it, they get loot and you get a message that your death has been avenged.
Players can now use Player Mail to ship each other items from within the game, as well as a Player Gifts system that perks your friends with items when you find something Legendary.
In short, it looks like I’m going to have to buy Diablo 3 all over again.
