Blizzard has finally given the release date for their biggest and hopefully best edition of Diablo III so far. The release of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition will be hitting the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, while also bringing the title over to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 19th this year, with an expected retail price of $40 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 release, $60 for the PS4 and XB One.
The Ultimate Evil Edition brings Reaper of Souls to console gamers for the first time and wraps all of the content, features, and updates we’ve released for Diablo III into one epic package,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Whether you’re a veteran of the crusade against the forces of evil on PC or are just stepping foot into Sanctuary for the first time, there’s never been a better time to experience Diablo III from the comfort of your couch.”
The new edition brings all the features, tweaks and patches that have been hitting the title ever since it’s somewhat tragic original release on the PC, since then it has grown into a beautiful and deeply enjoyable multiplayer RPG on consoles and now it’s set to be better than ever. On top of that you can expect better graphics, resolution and FPS on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One edition of the game, and no doubt plenty more support from the developers to follow after the release.
I’ve still not gotten enough from Diablo III, so I’m really looking forward to this release. It’s a great game on PlayStation 3, but the graphics are a bit on the hazy side, so I’m really looking forward to some couch co-op and a much higher-definition experience. If you haven’t played the game yet, it may be worth waiting for this edition to be released.
