Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto V is a visual treat and has a wealth of vibrant environments which are incredibly fun to explore. Despite offering such a wonderful experience, the game runs beautifully on the DinoPC GT5 even alongside a 1440p display.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
During the Rise of the Tomb Raider benchmark, the system fares pretty well and upholds a consistent frame-rate without hitching or major dips, providing the resolution is set to 1920×1080. Once increased to 2560×1440, the performance is solid but demanding sections cause the frame-rate to plummet. Therefore, it’s recommended to select a 1920×1080 render or reduce the settings. Granted, the 50.8 average looks great on paper, but the large drops may be irritating for some users.
Hitman
Here we can see a similar pattern in Hitman and the GTX 1060 excels throughout 1920×1080 testing. Rather surprisingly, there’s a large performance improvement compared to the AWD-IT Valyrian but this probably stems from driver optimisation and game patches. Once the resolution is increased to 2560×1440, the frame-rate is impressive for a budget-orientated graphics card. However, I have to echo the previous comments and advise lower settings for a more reliable gameplay experience.
Far Cry Primal
The DinoPC GT5 managed to offer an average frame-rate above 60 while driving Far Cry Primal’s ultra preset on a 1080p display. Not only that, the minimum frame-rate isn’t too adrift of the average which makes the game a joy to play. Unfortunately, the GPU hasn’t got enough horsepower to really contend with 1440p gaming unless you can accept drops below the 30 mark. Of course, it’s easy enough to dial back the settings to improve the fluidity.
