Cinebench R15
Intel’s i5-7600K overclocked to 4.7GHz only just edges another system’s previous generation i5-6600K despite utilising a higher frequency. Evidently, the new chip is a basic frequency boost and doesn’t provide any real IPC enhancements. Nevertheless, it’s still a good Cinebench score which illustrates the CPU’s commendable multi-threaded abilities.
WPrime
The system’s Kaby Lake processor completes the WPrime calculation task in a faster time than its predecessor. However, the gap is tiny and there’s no real change if you compare identical frequencies.
AIDA64 Engineer
In terms of memory bandwidth, the results are mixed and I was a little perplexed by the sub-par write speeds which fell below 30000MB/s. To clarify the data, I ran the benchmark multiple times and attained similar numbers. On a more positive note, the read and write speeds are good and within the performance range I expected for 2666MHz modules.
