Discord Has Accidentally Botted Own April Fools YouTube Video to Over 600m Views

The YouTube video ‘Discord Loot Boxes are Here’ was supposed to be just a straightforward April Fools joke that being why would Discord ever add loot boxes to a chat app? But I think it’s obvious that this little April Fool’s joke should have over 600 Million views on YouTube and even more shouldn’t have gotten those views in under 17 hours.
As it’s no surprise 628 million views weren’t achieved by regular means and was a mistake that was caused by the loot box announcement trailer on loop in the background of the in-app toast notification about the video itself.
Software developer Marvin Witt also posted that this was likely a mistake made by Discord as even the Discord developers were wondering what the hell happened.
I should mention they presumably did this accidentally, even one of the high up developers at Discord was confused as to how this was happening pic.twitter.com/0uRLQRRzSq

So as it stands discord now has the record for the most views in under 24 hours beating that of the GTA6 trailer that came out a few months ago and got over 93 million views. Will YouTube remove these views as they were not gained organically? Who knows but as said by the top comment
