Discord is the go-to voice chat and community chat platform for PC gamers and was not long ago added to XBOX but now PlayStation 5 users are able to join in the community as official integration for Discord voice chat has been added to PS5.
Discord Voice chat is now available to PS5 users allowing them to chat to their friends through Discord no matter if they are on PC, Mobile or Xbox bringing cross play between platforms even closer together. To access Discord on PS5 you must first make sure that your PS5 is updated to the latest system software and then you must link your playstation account through Discord as shown in the image below.
After your account is linked you will need to first join a call either on desktop through the browser or the discord app or on mobile where you will see a new button labelled “Join on Playstation”. This new button will bring your voice chat to your PlayStation 5 Console. Discord voice chat on the PS5 features all the same tools from other platforms allowing you to mute yourself or others, reduce the volumes of others.
