Dishonored 2 Update Coming Next Month

Dishonored 2 has gotten off to a great start, despite PC gamers (again) suffering from a few bumps in the road. However, for those of you who are still enjoying the game, or plan to in the future, you’ll be happy to hear that it is getting a NewGame+ mode, as well as a bunch of extra difficulty options for those who want to really test themselves.

You already have the option of thrashing your way through the game, or going for the ol’ stealth approach. Those with skill can get through the game without their powers too, but New Game + is all about rampage fill frenzy, take all your powers to new heights and see what happens.

“At Arkane we have this philosophy of Play Your Way,” says Dishonored 2 Lead Designer Dinga Bakaba. “But it has to be real. We don’t want it to be just smoke and mirrors.”

What the other new options will involve remains to be seen, but making enemies harder, you weaker, removing HUD elements and similar things would be a pretty safe bet. Either way, you’ll find out in December when the game will get the update for free, woo-hoo!

“Some players move through the game like a shadow, without leaving anyone disturbed,” said Creative Director Harvey Smith. “Other players leave a big trail of blood and body parts. We try to support both fantasies – taking out your enemies with surgical precision and minimal collateral damage, or leaving the city burning at your back.”

So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
