D-Link has announced the launch of the world’s first Wi-Fi 6 USB adapter. The all-new AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 USB Adapter (DWA-X1850) is a high-speed, easy to install, highly portable upgrade for desktop and laptop computers to bolster wireless connectivity and security in the home or office. The DWA-X1850 is perfect for people looking to update to the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology and experience lag-free gaming, fast downloading of large files, buffer-free video calls, and 4K/8K video streaming.
Featuring the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology, the DWA-X1850 can connect with wireless speeds of up to 1,200 Mbps while helping to optimize overall network efficiency and performance. Fully equipped with MU-MIMO and OFDMA technology, the DWA-X1850 allows Wi-Fi 6 networks to reach their true potential – delivering a faster and more stable connection even when multiple devices are transmitting data simultaneously in a busy home or office environment. What’s more, it supports the latest WPA3 authentication and encryption, ensuring more secure connections to wireless networks.
The new launch also features dual-band support, allowing connection to either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band. This provides extra flexibility and enhanced connectivity by taking advantage of the less interfered 5 GHz band to deliver a more reliable and fast connection.
With its slim and compact build, the DWA-X1850 is ultra-portable and easy to use. Once plugged into a USB port, it can be installed in seconds thanks to pre-loaded software. What’s more, the Wi-Fi 6 adapter supports high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 1, enabling maximum data transfer speeds – harnessing the full potential of Wi-Fi 6.
At the time of writing D-Link has yet to confirm any specific regional release dates for the AX1800 nor how much we can expect it to cost when it does arrive with retailers. – If you do, however, want to learn more, you can check out the official product website via the link here!
