Although Dota 2 will be a free to play game, Valve will be charging those wanting to get on board with the early access beta, £24.99. That price will get you a bunch of early access bundle items but early access to the game isn’t required to buy items from the store prior to launch.
Valve also wants to assure fans that Dota 2 is not and will not be a pay-to-win game, stating that all items in the store are cosmetic, and don’t affect gameplay.
