Double Fine Productions has now raised more than $2 million through public funding platform Kickstarter to get its latest project off the ground.
The studio founded by Monkey Island, Full Throttle and Grim Fandango creator Tim Schafer hit its original target of $400,000 in just eight hours, but has raised $2,007,892 at the time of writing, with 22 days remaining until the project’s funded on March 13.
Currently titled Double Fine Adventure, the game is described as a classic point-and-click adventure. It will be developed for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android, and feature localised text in French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
