This ambitious project, known as the Liberty City Preservation Project (LCPP), allows players to revisit and experience this beloved city with enhanced visuals and immerse themselves in its gritty atmosphere once again.

I loved GTA IV, sure, it had its annoyances, such as the calls to go bowling, but its many flaws were also part of its charm. It’s crazy to think how old that game even is now, but it’s still a blast to play. Alas, this new mod is compatible with both GTA 5’s single-player mode and the popular multiplayer modification FiveM, LCPP offers a comprehensive recreation of Liberty City. It encompasses not only the map itself but also a plethora of meticulously ported elements, including vehicles, pedestrians, interiors, ambient sounds, radio stations, and much more. This attention to detail elevates the mod beyond a mere custom map, making it feel like a full-fledged expansion to the game.

In single-player mode, LCPP seamlessly integrates Liberty City with the existing GTA 5 world, allowing players to traverse between the two locales without interruption. However, due to platform limitations in FiveM, Liberty City replaces Los Santos entirely.

While the mod is currently available for download, it is advisable to do so promptly. Take-Two and Rockstar Games, the companies behind the GTA franchise, have a history of taking down similar mods. Consequently, there is a risk that the creators of LCPP may receive a cease and desist letter, potentially leading to the mod’s removal.
