Dragonborn Coming to Quake Champions?

The Bethesda-published multiplayer FPS Quake Champions is already including a couple of familiar characters; both Wolfenstein’s B.J. Blazkowicz and Doom Slayer (though, everyone knows him by his real name: Doomguy) feature. If Tim Willits, the game’s director, gets his way, though, we’ll have another Bethesda-owned character in the mix. Speaking to Gamereactor, Willits confessed he’s keen to add Skyrim’s Dragonborn to the game.

Dragonborn in Quake Champions

Willits speculates about a number of Bethesda IP characters appearing in Quake Champions. He mentions Dishonored’s Corvo and Emily, Vault Dweller (but not Vault Boy), and Dragonborn. He’s especially excited by Dragonborn, with his/her Dragon Shout making for a potentially devastating special attack. Willits told Gamereactor:

“With BJ, and now we’ve launched Doom Slayer with Early Access; it doesn’t take that much imagination to see that we’ve been looking at other Bethesda titles, but we have nothing to talk about now.

But if we did add something like Vault Dweller – I’ll do Vault Dweller instead of Vault Boy – I don’t know, maybe like a nuke or something?

You know what’d be cool is Dragonborn, with his dragon shout. Or Corvo, with his blink. Or Emily. I mean, we have so many choices, we’ll just have to see what comes up.”

Willits, though, confessed his personal preference:

“Dragonborn would be probably my favourite. You know, maybe we could email Todd Howard to see if we could get permission for that.”

Release and Availability

Quake Champions is out later this year for Windows PC. In the meantime, the game is on Steam Early Access.
