If there’s one game I can’t wait to play, it has to be Dragon’s Dogma 2, not only was I hyped when they revealed it, but honestly, it felt like it would be one of those announcements that would just fizzle out and never really happen. However, today, Capcom dropped the system requirements, hot on the heals of the news that it would release around March 2024! So, it looks like it’s really happening!
The official Steam page for the game is already up, and shows us the full system requirements for Dragon’s Dogma 2, which includes support for Ray Tracing. Actually, this is really surprising to me, as much as I loved Dragon’s Dogma, it looked like crap. It’s graphics were very much stuck in the early PlayStation 2 era, but it seems we’re in for quite an upgrade for the sequel.
The system requirements don’t look too much of a threat though, with an Intel Core i5 10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and 16GB of RAM paired with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT hitting the minimum requirements for 1080/30 FPS. However, for Ray Tracing, at least the RTX 2080 Ti or RX 6800 is required.
If you want to game at 2160/30 FPS, Capcom suggests the Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, again with 16GB of RAM, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700, but that’s still without ray tracing enabled.
