DualShock4 To Be Backwards Compatible With PlayStation 3
Peter Donnell / 11 years ago
PlayStation 4 is almost here and with it comes the release of the DualShock 4 controller. What some of you may not know is that the DualShock 4 can be paired with the PlayStation 3, some very helpful Reddit users who already have their hands on the next-gen controller have been working to build a list of PlayStation 3 titles that are compatible.
More important is the fact that it isn’t 100% compatible and the PS button, wireless functionality, vibration and motion sensing on the DualShock 4 do not work while connected to the PlayStation 3, and it is unclear if Sony will address this with a patch, but for now it could come in very handy as an emergency extra controller.
