Ducky 2108S Zero Keyboard Review

A Closer Look

The keyboard is pretty standard in terms of design, it comes hard-wired with a USB cable, and features a full size layout that includes a number pad.

At first glance, there is little flair here, a small Ducky Zero logo on the space bars front side, and some nicely curved key caps and a thick chassis make up the bulk of the features.

There is a slow curve to the keyboard that should provide a nice typing position and there is a slight texture to the plastics of the chassis, nothing fancy, but hardly ugly either.

The key caps have been laser etched, which should mean that they letters do not fade off over time, this type of cut also allows light to pass through the key cap nicely, perfect for the LED back lighting that this keyboard incorporates.

The keypad is pretty standard, but above it you will notice dedicated volume keys, something I think no keyboard should be without.

The key caps are easily removed thanks to the included tool, this means you can install your own custom key caps, or of course the four that were provided. As you can see, this keyboard is kitted out with MX Brown LED switches.

The replacement key caps offer no performance improvement, but the light grey finish does make them easier to pick out as a glance.

The LED back lighting is nice, and can be turned on for the full keyboard, or left to just the toggle keys for ScrLk, NumLk, Caps Lock etc.

The underside is pretty featureless. There are four small rubber grip feet and two flip-up stands at the back.

The stands are only plastic, but they feel robust enough to do their job.
