Ducky has today announced a new collaboration with Bethesda to create a DOOM themed custom mechanical keyboard that any long time DOOM fan and keyboard enthusiast would love to have at their desk.
Ducky is among one of the leading names in the custom mechanical keyboard market and are well known for high-quality, innovative mechanical keyboards catering to gamers and enthusiasts. Bethesda, unlike what the Steam awards would have you believe, are the opposite and their innovation and quality is debatable. What isn’t debatable though is their partnership with Ducky to create a DOOM themed mechanical keyboard, the Ducky X DOOM Edition One 3 SF.
This keyboard uses a 65% layout which features DOOM inspired PBT keycaps created using dye-sublimation. The design is simply the iconic DOOM Eternal cover art atop the keys within a red and black casing that also features a UV printed DOOM design on the underside.
Internally the keyboard makes use of 5 options of Cherry MX switches but does feature hot swap capabilities for a switch of your own choice. The Hot-swap PCB features a foam pad and Q-Bounce pads to reduce noise and cushion the impact of typing. The keyboard includes features such as a detachable USB-C cable, N-Key Rollover and RGB lighting effects.
“We are thrilled to be working with Bethesda to bring the visceral, heart-pounding action of DOOM
to your fingertips,” said the marketing director from Ducky. “Our commitment to quality and
innovation aligns perfectly with the DOOM franchise’s iconic status, and we can’t wait to share the
fruits of our collaboration with the world.”
The DUCKY x DOOM SF keyboard is available from overclockers.co.uk in Cherry MX Brown, MX Blue, MX Red, MX Silent Red and MX Speed switch types. Being a limited edition keyboard, it is also limited to a relevant 666 units for both ANSI and ISO layouts.
