Duke Nukem Forever system requirements revealed

Games recently have been demanding more and more from computers, but then this limits the audience who can play such a game. As such here at eTeknix we always like to know whether a new game is going to be using high-end graphics and as such be nearly unplayable to most users, or something a tad more medioka that a larger audience can play.

As such the release of the system requirements of Duke Nukem Forever have recently come to light and so we would like to know what you think of them and more importantly whether your computer will be able to play this game on high/low settings or not at all.

The minimum specifications for the Duke Nukem Forever, produced by Gearbox Software, has been set at 2.0 GHz Dual Core CPU, 1 GB of RAM, somewhere around a Geforce 7600 (ATI HD 2600) and a good 10 GB of HD storage. The recommended are a touch higher than this at 2.4/2.6 GHZ Dual Core, 2 GB of system memory, GeForce 8800 GTS (ATI Radeon HD 3850) but no more HD space.

For us this sounds like the requirements are not too high and as such we are not expecting too bigger improvements to the graphics from previous games but we would love to know what you think so please feel free to comment – especially whether you would prefer to see higher-quality graphics for games or more easily playable games on laptops for instance (without battery life dying in 10 mins…)
