It’s “Game On.” for E3, as The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) officially unveils plans for a reimagined, all-virtual E3 2021 that will engage video game fans everywhere. With early commitments from Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games, Koch Media, and more to come! – (The omission of Sony so far is not unusual as they have tended to prefer to host their own events in recent years – they may still surprise us though given the current situation around the world).
E3 2021 All-Digital Event!
Developers will be showcasing their latest news and games directly to fans around the world. The ESA will be working with media partners globally to help amplify and make this content available to everyone for free.
While maintaining their longstanding position as a central destination for industry networking — where new partnerships and connections between video game publishers, developers, and media are made — the digital format for E3 2021 means more people than ever can participate. Albeit, ESA has confirmed that they are planning to return to physical events next year.
When Does it Start?
ESA has confirmed that E3 2021 will take place June 12 through June 15 and for more information on where to check the various launches and trailers out (as well as specific showcase dates/times/schedules for the various companies/developers), you can visit the official event website via the link here!
What do you think? Do you tend to check E3 out? What games are you hoping to see this year? In addition, are you disappointed it hasn’t been able to go ahead as a physical event? – Let us know in the comments!
