Are you eagerly waiting for the latest entry in the Skate franchise? I know I am, as it’s been many years since we had the truly fantastic Skate 3 back in 2010, and a new game feels long overdue. Rumours have been kicking around the internet this week that work was underway on Skate 4, but the fun sponges at EA have come out to knock that rumour on its ass pretty quickly.
In today’s earnings report, CES Andrew Wilson said that EA is “not presently” working on Skate 4. This is bad news for those waiting for a new game in the series, but it doesn’t exactly shut down the possibility of one happening in the future either.
For now, I guess we’ll have to stick with the awful Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater that came out a couple of years ago, just kidding, I’d rather play Skate 3 for a few more years that go near that disaster!
At the very least, if you’re listening EA, port over Skate 3 to the PC, you’ll make a fortune and can use that money to pay for Skate 4, that’s what I’d like to see, but I’m dreaming big here.
