EA’s C&C Tiberium Alliances launches as free to play

The Electronic Arts Inc. studio dedicated to developing best-in-class free-to-play games known as Phenomic has announced the open beta for Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances.
Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances is a massively multiplayer online (MMO), browser-based, free-to-play strategy game that delivers a whole new way for players to experience the Command & Conquer Tiberium universe. In this latest F2P game from EA, the players harvest valuable resources, foster strategic alliances and engage in relentless battles as they seek world domination. Thanks to in-game news and status feeds, players are kept up to date, offering an interactive and dynamic gameplay experience that keeps the gamers strategizing, reacting and adapting on the go. Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances is the first free-to-play cross-platform MMO strategy game. The next few months will see the inclusion of cloud-saved data which will be accessible across web browsers and mobile devices to allow gamers to play from any place where they can access their saved data.
This game is also one of two highly-anticipated releases in the Command & Conquer franchise. BioWare had announced in December 2011 that it was currently developing Command & Conquer Generals 2 utilizing the advanced Frostbite 2 game engine.
