AMD’s Ryzen microarchitecture is on track for release rather soon and motherboard vendors like ECS have been displaying new models ahead of the official launch. The ECS B350AM4-M utilises AMD’s B350 chipset and uPGA-style socket with 1131 pins. Not only that, the motherboard supports up to 64GB DDR4 dual-channel memory at speeds up to 2400MHz. Also, the motherboard has a dedicated buzzer to help with system diagnostics, two PCI-E x16 slots, a PCI-E x1 slot and old-school PCI slot. As you might expect, the product can accommodate 2-way graphics solutions. Interestingly, the motherboard opts for the Realtek ALC662 codec which is positioned on a dedicated PCB to reduce interference.
When it comes to networking, the ECS B350AM4-M includes a Realtek 81111EPV with DASH and Realtek 8111GN Gigabit option. There’s also four SATA ports, M.2 and another M.2 port for connecting a WiFi/BT combo card. On the rear portion, the end-user is provided with two USB 3.1 ports, six USB 3.0 ports and five USB 2.0 ports.
