EK Introduces Pro Series Water-Blocks For RTX A5500 Workstation GPUs

EKWB has today introduced their new GPU water blocks for the NVIDIA RTX A5500 workstation GPUs

The EK-Pro A5500 GPU Water Block

This new EK water block is designed for the NVIDIA RTX A5500 GPU and features a POM machined 45° angled terminal block with two G1/4″ ports which allow for easy integration with EK-Pro QDC kits and manifolds. The block is also equipped with a side-mounted standoff for GPU brace applications ensuring secure GPU mounting during transport. This block comes in a rack mount and a standard configuration the differences being the location of the terminal block.

Cooling Engine

This block makes use of an open Split-Flow cooling engine design which has proved to be a superior solution for GPU blocks. This design is characterized by low hydraulic flow restriction making it capable of being used with low-power pumps and still achieving top performance which makes it ideal for multi-GPU workstations because of its low coolant flow requirements. The jet plate and fin structure have been optimized to provide consistent flow distribution with minimal losses and optimal performance.

Machining of EK-Pro Water Blocks

The base of the block is CNC-machined out of nickel-plated electrolytic copper and the top is laser-cut out of industry-grade stainless steel. The top plate possesses a screw-in PCIe power connector bracket to securely hold the power connector once fully assembled. High-quality EPDM O-Rings ensure that the sealing and the brass standoffs are pre-installed to enable a safe and easy installation procedure.

Secure and Stable Design

Ensuring that the graphics card is stable and protected in a workstation environment the I/O plate is now a part of the water block meaning that it will replace the stock I/O plate of the card. Doing this adds much more sturdiness and stability to the whole structure of the card as well as helps with saving space as this new I/O plate only consumes one PCIe slot allowing for surrounding slots to be available for other cards. Further improving the rigidity of the card is its retention backplate which provides more structural integrity as well as passive cooling to the backside of the PCB VRM. Cutouts in this backplate allow for full NVIDIA NVLink compatibility.

Availability and Pricing

The EK-Pro GPU WB RTX A5500 Rack – Nickel + Inox and EK-Pro GPU WB RTX A5500 – Nickel + Inox water blocks are available for pre-order through the EK-Webshop to be shipped in late April 2023. They will be available at the following MSRP

  • EK-Pro GPU WB RTX A5500 – Nickel + Inox – €280.90
  • EK-Pro GPU WB RTX A5500 Rack – Nickel + Inox – €298.90
