Following the successful launch of the LGA-1700 based Quantum Velocity² Edge CPU water block, EK have now released the AM5 variant of this special edition waterblock with its striking design.
This waterblock features a highly eye catching front cover which contains an array of irregular tetrahedrons covering just over half of the block with the other half featuring the clear plexi top providing a display of light and shadow with the included D-RGB lighting. It comes in black and silver colourways to fit in with the two primary PC build colour options.
This block utilizes the OptiFlow cooling engine which is designed to optimize performance on specific sockets. Using taloured cold plate geometry in combination with specific mounting pressure, achieves low hydraulic flow restriction and allows the use of weaker pumps or lower pump speed settings without compromising performance. The EK-ExactMount system is also used here for an easy and aesthetically pleasing installation. This system provides an “invisible” mounting mechanism within the waterblock. This block is also fully compliant with EK’s Matrix-7 liquid cooling standard allowing for simplified loop planning.
The EK-Quantum Velocity² Edge D-RGB – AM5 Black and Silver Special Editions are made in Slovenia, Europe, and are now available for pre-order for an MSRP of €199.90 through the EK Webshop. These Velocity² Special Edition water blocks will start shipping in mid-April 2024.
