EK Water Blocks has unveiled its new full-cover water block, the EK-FC980 GTX Ti WF3, a custom design engineered specifically for the GIGABYTE Gaming G1 and WindForce 3X (hence the WF3 abbreviation) series NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card.
The EK-FC980 GTX Ti WF3 is a high-performance water block that actively cools the GPU, RAM, and VRM by flowing water directly over each critical area, adding greater stability to the GPU and VRM under high overclocks. In addition to its full-cover cooling of the entire PCB, the EK-FC980 boasts some great aesthetics.
The water block features EK’s proprietary central inlet split-flow cooling engine design, which allows reversed water flow while maintaining its standard cooling performance and formidable hydraulic performance that can compensate for systems using weaker water pumps for its water cooling needs.
The cooler’s underside is constructed from nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made from POM Acetal or acrylic, depending on the model, while screw-in brass standoffs come pre-installed as standard for safe installation.
The EK-FC980 comes in two models – one nickel and one acetal/nickel, with both connecting via FC terminal/HD tube – priced at €114.95. Additional black or nickel backplates are available for €29.95 and €37.95, respectively. All are available for purchase through the EK webshop now.
