Liquid cooling seems to be on the up and coming again and we have seen quite a few new products released in the category lately. One type of product that we see a lot are monoblocks that cool both the CPU itself like a normal heatsink, but also the MOSFET power regulation which is a crucial factor when overclocking but also something that could increase the overall lifetime of your hardware.
The new monoblock from EK WB that we see released this time is specifically designed with ASUS to fit the compact and unique ASUS MAXIMUS VIII Impact motherboard that comes with several daughter boards due to the mITX size and the amount of features and functions ASUS loaded it with.
The new monoblock is called the EK-FB ASUS M8I and with its unique design, it attaches itself to both the motherboard and the MOSFET daughterboard for optimal cooling of both. It is designed out of the EK-Supremacy EVO cooling engine to ensure the best possible CPU cooling as the liquid flows past all the critical components.
The base of the monoblock is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality POM Acetal or acrylic glass material, depending on the variant.
The new EK-FB ASUS M8I should be available at official EK WB resellers now for a suggested retail price of €112.95. Both the Nickel and the Acetal and Nickel versions cost the same, so which you pick is down to your personal choice.
