EKWB has announced their very first monoblock for AMD’s AM4 Ryzen line, specifically fitted for ASUS’ Republic of Gamers Crosshair VI Hero X370 motherboard. Since it is a monoblock, it covers the CPU as well as the VRM of the motherboard with a single piece. This EKWB monoblock is based on the award-winning EK-Supremacy EVO cooling engine like the previously released EKWB monoblocks for Intel Z270 motherboards.
Aside from providing an option to liquid cool their new AMD Ryzen system, the EK-FB ASUS C6H RGB monoblock has an integrated 4-pin RGB LED strip which makes it compatible with ASUS Aura Sync RGB LED customization. This RGB LED strip is right across the bottom area and backlits the Crosshair Logo.
This monoblock fits directly due to its integrated mounting system for LGA-1151 sockets, only requiring the user to remove the stock VRM heatsinks on the Crosshair VI Hero first. Since it is designed specifically for the ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero X370 motherboard layout, there are no clearance or compatibility issues with the fit and the single block cools the CPU and the MOSFETs at the same time. The cold-plate itself has been redesigned to ensure proper contact with AMD’s Ryzen integrated heatspreader. The base of the monoblock is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made out of acrylic glass material.
It is now available directly via the EK Webshop and retails for 119.95€ including VAT. To check out what features are available on the ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero motherboard, check out the review here at eTeknix where it earned an Editor’s Choice Award.
