Slovenian liquid cooling manufacturer EKWB is launching their latest monoblock. This time it is for Gigabyte X399 motherboards supporting AMD Threadripper. It is not just the massive CPU that requires considerable cooling, but its motherboard VRM does as well. Which is why a single unit cooler like the EK-FB GA X399 GAMING RGB monoblock is an elegant solution for those who want to get the most out of Threadripper.
What sets this monoblock from previous EKWB units however is its use of digital LEDs. Digital LEDs are individually addressable, so users have more control with how it behaves. Gigabyte’s X399 Aorus motherboards also now officially support digital LEDs, which plug-in via a 3-pin board header. Users can then use the RGB Fusion software to customize it. The EK-FB GA X399 GAMING RGB Monoblock specifically is compatible with Gigabyte’s X399 Aorus Gaming 7 or X399 Designare EX motherboard.
In addition to the main monoblock unit, the EK-FB GA X399 GAMING RGB comes with an additional passive heatsink for the VRM components on the board’s left side. Specifically, it cools the network chip components between the I/O shield and the memory DIMM slots.
EK-FB GA X399 GAMING RGB Monoblock is available for purchase through EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network for 125.95€ (MSRP) with VAT included.
