EKWB Introduces Monoblock for ASUS RoG Rampage VI Boards

Earlier last week, EKWB announced RGB LED monoblocks for some of the ASUS X299 motherboard lineup. Their latest announcement however, is a new monoblock specifically for their X299 Republic of Gamers Rampage VI series. This monoblock provides full VRM and CPU coverage for the ASUS RoG Rampage VI Extreme and Apex units. Unlike the EK-FB ASUS PRIME X299 RGB Monoblock however, the EK-FB ASUS ROG R6E RGB Monoblock is available in a non-clear top as well.

The EKWB monoblock comes with a 4-pin RGB LED header compatible with ASUS’ aura sync. This allows users to synchronize the RGB LED behaviour of the block with the rest of the system. Unlike the EK-FB Prime monoblock, the nameplate cutout says Rampage VI instead of the ASUS logo. The RGB LED strip is located behind this nameplate and is strong enough to light up the entire block area.

In terms of installation, the new redesigned cold-plate allows for better contact with the LGA-2066 socket CPU. The base itself is made of high-quality nickel-plated electrolytic copper for efficient heat transfer.

Pricing and Availability

EKWB is currently accepting pre-orders via their EK Webshop for 119.95€ with VAT included. Those orders will be shipping on September 25, 2017. The price is the same for both the acetal, and acetal+nickel variant.
