Elon Musk Says Cybertruck May Hit Full Production in 2022

Back in late 2019, Elon Musk officially announced the launch of the Tesla Cybertruck. To say the least, it caused something of a stir in both the technology and motoring world would definitely be a moderate understatement. – It, quite frankly, just looked bizarre and certainly brought up more than a few memories of the DeLorean. Albeit, I daresay that Elon Musk hopes his Cybertruck will be a lot more successful comparatively speaking.
However, while a few of the vehicles have been made available, a full-blown production cycle has yet to be seen. Following a report via Engadget, however, Elon Musk has said that he’s confident that, all going well, the Tesla Cybertruck will be ready to hit showroom forecourts in 2022. This is next year just in case you haven’t checked your calendar recently!
Tesla Cybertruck
Speaking in a quarterly earnings report, when asked specifically about the Cybertruck, Elon Musk said that the company had made a “few deliveries of the Cybertruck in 2021, but volume production is set for next year.” – So, put simply, for as little as a $100 deposit, you could put your name down for one and, who knows, it might be sat in your driveway before the end of the year.
What Do We Think?
With initial prices for the Tesla Cybertruck starting at $39,900, they are perhaps not as obscenely expensive as many might have expected. As such, with nearly a million pre-orders having already been made, Elon Musk will clearly be anxious to get these ready to go and, quite frankly, I don’t think I’d mind trying one out for myself!
What do you think? Would you like to own one of these? Have you actually put a deposit down for one? – Let us know in the comments!
