Endgame Gear XM1 Gaming Mouse Review

How Much Does it Cost?
The Endgame Gear XM1 Optical eSports Gaming Mouse is available right now from OCUK. It’s priced at just £53.99 (down from the MSRP of £59.99). So it’s not like it’s mega cheap, but it’s priced competitively for what it features.
Overview
Endgame Gear has kept the outward appearance of this mouse extremely simple. Simplicity is key when it comes to focusing on your game, it takes away anything that could cause issues while you try to “git gud” at your game. Premium components reside within though. The fantastic Pixart PWM3389 is the real star of the show, and it’s unlikely to ever let you down in the heat of battle.
Silky smooth and pixel perfect accuracy, a low 2mm lift-off, and high tracing speeds certainly give you an edge. However, with the mous using the ARM STM32 controller, combined with Omron 50M switches, it gives you a click response time of under 1ms. If you miss a headshot with this mouse, it’s because you suck at the game. Albeit, you can still blame latency and hackers as everyone else does.
Build Quality
The components on the inside of this mouse are not in question, they’re all fantastic. The mouse its self does feel very light, which is great for twitchy fast-paced gaming. At around 70 grams it’s easily in the ultra-light category. If you look after it, it’ll be fine. However, I suspect you wouldn’t want to drop it, as the lightness may also mean it can be a little fragile. There’s no braiding on the cable either, which is actually a good thing. It’s less likely to snag on your desk, and the cable is very lightweight too, so shouldn’t restrict your movements.
Should I Buy One?
If you do a lot of work and play a wider range of games on your PC, this might not be for you. At-home-gamers can benefit from more buttons, macros, and dare I say it, RGB. This is more like a track-day car, or a specific type of running shoe compared to the Swiff Army Knife style gaming mice we often see. For MOBA, BattleRoyale, FPS style games though, it’s going to help you smash some new K/D ratios. The pros already love it, and anyone who wants something serious will too.
