Endgame Gear XM2WE Wireless Gaming Mouse Review

How Much Does it Cost?

It’s not a cheap mouse, but in terms of its overall features and hardware, it’s priced very fairly in line with the competition. You can get the Endgame Gear XM2WE Wireless Gaming Mouse for £79.99 at Overclockers UK, and you have a choice of either black or white. That puts it at the same price +/- £10 as the Glorious Model O, Fnatic Bolt, Xtrfy M4, SteelSeries Aerox 3, MSI Clutch GM41, and a fair few others, so it’s not like you’re short on choice here. However, the Endgame Gear XM2WE Wireless Gaming Mouse can clearly hold its own against any rival in competition.

Overview

I really like this mouse, as it keeps things really simple, and when it comes to competitive gaming, while some may think that more buttons and features are the way to go, often the opposite is true. You want a clean design that has fewer things to go wrong. If you’re playing CS:GO, you don’t need a macro pad on the side of the mouse, or even a DPI button in the way, you want to set the mouse how you like it, and get to it.

Of course, if you’re a big MMO gamer that likes more buttons, you’re going to want something else for sure, this is a pretty simple design. However, don’t rule it out completely, as the fantastic ergonomics and the impressively lightweight design make it a joy to use for those long gaming sessions. It has a lightweight and extremely low friction design, so making precise movements couldn’t be easier.

The Kailh Optical switches combined with the fantastic PixArt sensor make it a serious contender too, with no compromise on response times or accuracy from either. So tinkerer in Excel to competing on the world stage in some big eSports tournament, this mouse is more than up to the job of both.

It’s one of the few mice this lightweight that doesn’t use a honeycomb body design, yet despite this, it doesn’t feel thin or weaker by comparison. It feels, well, durable as a regular mouse would really. The wireless performance is flawless too, I really can’t fault it. You also get a really long battery life that should see it only needing charging once a week, as there’s no RGB lighting to muck about with. Plus, with the Type-C cable, if you really did want to use it wired at any time, you can play and charge at the same time too.

Should I Buy One?

If you’re looking for minimal fuss but maximum performance, then absolutely, this is the mouse for you. It’s fast, light, nimble, incredibly accurate, has a superb click response, and a clean aesthetic with no RGB, and long battery life for a premium wireless experience. Absolutely worthy of our editor’s choice award!
