Enermax Announces Liqtech TR4 280mm CPU AIO
Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
Enermax is introducing a new 280mm radiator option for their Liqtech TR4 CPU All-in-one liquid cooler series. The Liqtech TR4 is specifically for AMD Threadripper TR4 sockets, providing 100% IHS coverage. Unlike other CPU AIOs which have a different bracket, Enermax actually has a different pump block design for their Threadripper line. The Liqtech TR4 features the patented shunt-channel-technology (SCT) and the exclusive EF1 pump with a high flowrate. Which is why the Liqtech TR4 series has a 500W+ TDP, more than capable to handle demanding high-end desktop systems.

The new 280mm radiator gives users additional choices besides the 240mm and 360mm versions initially available. Both the 240 and 360mm use 120mm fans, while the 280 uses a pair of 140mm fans. This gives users with wider cases the ability to run the fan at a lower RPM while cooling just as well. There are also more cases with 280mm radiator support than 360mm, so users who want a better performance than the 240mm version but have no room for a 360mm can use the 280mm version.
Each AIO uses a 400mm flexible polyamide rubber tubing. This allows for flexibility while providing zero permeability. Plus, each tube has a sleeve covering for a more premium, cleaner look.
The fan bundled uses Enermax’ twister bearings and operates at 500 to 1500 RPM. In this range, it delivers 54.13 ~ 137.13 m3/h or 31.86 ~ 80.71 CFM of airflow, with 0.960 ~ 4.812 mm-H2O of static pressure. The noise level is also not very steep at only 14 ~ 25 dBA across the entire range.
