Enermax ETD-T60-VD Low Profile CPU Cooler Review

Preparing the Intel hold down bar was our first step of the installation. This required a great deal of patience as the little grooves were awkward to align.

Connecting the backplate was also fairly awkward as you have to position the motherboard over the Intel mounting bar’s protruding screws without being able to actually see them to align them easily.

The fairly quick installation resulted in security and sturdiness. Make sure you install your RAM before the cooler otherwise you are going to be un-installing it quicker than you may have anticipated.

Enermax allow you to choose 4 mounting orientations with the ETD-T60-VD. The orientation we choose would minimise the chance RAM clearance issues but we were close pushed with VRM clearance issues.

RAM clearance is respectable given the cooler’s top-down design. Our 31.5mm tall Corsair XMS3 modules had a few millimetres clearance above them.

The interior of our NZXT Phantom chassis dwarfs the ETD-T60-VD. Its low profile, top-down design is great for application in narrow cases and causes minimal interference with surrounding components.
