Enermax Fulmo GT Full Tower Chassis Review

With such I diverse range of cases on the market Enermax have tried to create a tower that has got that wow factor. The sheer size of the case makes it an eye turner with a sleek stylish design. This is combined with its overall flexibility, allowing a wide range of applications from graphics heavy gaming to data hungry server installations. One thing is for sure that the size of this Jumbo Tower is what makes it stand out from its competitors. With so many systems now demanding water cooling solutions, the Fulmo GT can offer the space to locate water pumps and reservoirs internally as opposed to the external solutions that many manufacturers have to offer.

We found the front of the case has a quality feel about it with the passive air circulation vent design stretching the height of the tower. However we were less impressed with the side door panels which felt flimsy and a little flexible to fit. Built from 0.8 mm SECC the ultra-thin material is designed to keep the weight down. However the main chassis is still heavier than most cases we see through our doors.

The tool-less design of the drive bays are a nice feature to see on the Fulmo GT. Many cases on the market opt for screw based fixing which can be time consuming to install and maintain. Having clip release draws on the 10 Data bays is a nice touch allowing drives to be organised and labelled to keep a track of your data storage drives.

The Clever Enermax LED lighting system that the case boasts is exciting to play with at first. However over time we can see that it will be forgotten with the static illumination mode being many people’s choice for day to day operation.

We were impressed to see 4 USB 3.0 ports on the front of the Tower. However on closer inspection we found that there were limitations when using older motherboards as more accessories may be required to ensure compatibility.

Currently on the market at £183.34/$273.16 the Fulmo GT offers a lot of case for your money. Many cases in this price range offer limited design or functionality. We found that Enermax have pulled out all of the stops to pack in as many features as possible wrapped in a quality case shell.

Overall we were impressed by the aesthetics and sleek design of the Fulmo GT. If you are looking for an executive case that offers flexibility and user friendly installation compartments this jumbo case may be for you. With such a diverse range of applications and room to fit a whole army of components the Fulmo GT is a great all-rounder.
