Enermax Fulmo-ST Midi-Tower Chassis Review

The build time on this Fulmo ST was about 25 minutes, a quick and easy build that presented me with near zero issues. The only snag I found was the 8pin motherboard connection cable, when I routed it through the hole in the top left I found that the motherboard completely covers the hole, no big deal, but I’d rather not have to trap my cable with the motherboard. Overall cable management looks great although I think they made the main PSU cut-out a little larger than it needs to be.

The rear of the chassis has more than enough room for airflow and the CPU block is miles clear of anything, good news for those wanting a motherboard with large VRM coolers or some of the bigger water cooling blocks such as the Eisberg.

I’ve stripped out the middle storage bay, although I had no specific need to remove it as my GPU fits nicely regardless, this is more just for display purposes. I am of course not using any of the larger hard drive bays and our test SSD is seated in the 2.5″ bay behind the PSU.

The Corsair H100i is a big cooler with some chunky cooling pipes but it fits in the top of the chassis with plenty of room to spare, good news for those wanting to install fatter radiators or custom loops.

Side panel back on and we can see those gorgeous blue LED lights, the bright blue on the floor is more a side effect of a long exposure photo and a reflective white background than the actual lightning, but the fans do look great, of course if they’re not to your liking you can always turn the lights off using the built in switch on the top panel.
