ENERMAX has today introduced their latest mid-tower PC case, the ENERMAXK8, or K8. This case boasts a sleek and sophisticated design which seems to go for a focus on style rather than airflow and efficiency.
The K8’s design incorporates a half and half front panel with the upper half featuring tempered glass and the lower half with either a black or white panel slightly reminiscent of some of NZXT’s older cases before they realised airflow was important. As for airflow, it appears the front fans can only receive air from a vent in the top of the case and possibly one in the bottom though the images don’t show that. The side panel also features tempered glass for a view of your hardware and the front I/O features one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C alongside one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A.
The case is capable of supporting up to ATX motherboards alongside a max CPU cooler height of up to 170mm. For the GPU there is 390mm of clearance if you aren’t using a front mounted radiator so the case should cover most if not all GPUs on the market. For storage there is 2x 3.5″ bays which can be used as a 2.5″ bay but we all know 2.5″ SSDs can be chucked in wherever we please, and finally there is 23mm of cable routing space for cramming the cables.
As for cooling users can fit up to 3x 120 or 140mm ARGB fans in the front, 3x 120mm or 2x 140mm in the top or 1x 120mm in the rear. Pre-installed the case comes with 3 120mm ARGB fans that also come with an included 6-port control hub to synchronise your ARGB lighting with motherboard software or the 21 built in presets. For those that like water-cooling the case supports up to a 360mm radiator in the front and up to a 240mm in the top.
ENERMAXK8 is available in both black and white versions and as part of their latest product launch campaign exclusively for the European market, customers can now purchase ENERMAXK8 from ALTERNATE and receive an additional CPU AIO cooler, the LIQMAXFLO series, at a special promotional price.
