A Closer Look – 240mm
First lets take a look at the pump on the 240mm radiator, this is a great place to start since both the 120mm and 240mm feature identical pump designs and specifications. As you can see we have a pretty solid-looking block and there are two screws on this side and two more on the other for holding the pre-installed Intel bracket in place, the Intel brackets can be removed and a longer set of AMD arms can be attached. There is a nicely sleeved black cable with a 3-pin connection to provide the pump with power.
The pipes are mounted on the right side of the pump and can be angled to up or down thanks to a turning joint on the side of the pump.
Both the 120mm and 240mm feature the same pipe length of 310mm, more than enough for mounting in the top of almost any chassis and in the front of most mid-tower size cases (where compatible). There is a thick and well polished oversized copper base plate on the bottom of the pump, which should help improve heat transfer rates to the water and radiator.
Each side on the radiator features two long red rubber strips, these provide a soft mounting pad for the fans and your chassis, helping to reduce vibrations and it’ll also help reduce and metal on metal scratching when mounting.
The fins on the radiator are really thick and strong, much stronger than I’m used to seeing on AIO water coolers. I often find the fins are easy to bend, but that’s not the case here, this thing is incredibly robust.
