Enermax NAXN 850W Modular Power Supply Review

In this test we subject the unit to various loads and measure how it effects the rail stability. In theory, a power supplies output waveform should be flat, but this is never the case. What you see is a very zoomed in view that tells us how stable the rails are by looking at how much ‘ripple’ there is. For more information, please take a look at our PSU Testing Methodology article where you can also see an example of what a poor quality unit looks like on our oscilloscope.

Wow! This is another demonstration of the high quality achieved by Sirfa- noise is the ultimate test of quality and to say that the NAXN performs admirably would be an understatement. Sirfa has really kept up the reputation of Enermax with this unit! This is a very 12V-orientated test, it is great to see how little the 5v and 3.3v rails suffered as a result of the high load going through the 12v rail.
