Enermax Ostrog Mid-Tower PC Chassis Review

The front of the chassis immediately stood out for me, as bringing the chassis out of the box I was presented with this stunning high contrast design. With a black finish surrounded by a sleek white mesh air intake that really makes the chassis stand out. The silver plastic Enermax and Ostrog logos don’t look too bad either. Along the front you will also find room for 4 x optical drives and a floppy/card reader.

The top of the chassis is nicely equipped with everything you should need, with 4 USB ports (one of which is USB 3.0 compatible), headphone and microphone ports as well as the usual reset and power buttons. The top also features a recessed Enermax logo that adds a little extra detail to the top panel. Overall everything here is well laid out and styled.

From the side of the chassis you can see there is room for 2 x 120/140mm fans on the side panel and room for a further 2 x 120/140mm fans along the top of the chassis, so plenty of room for cooling here.

Around the back of the chassis the cooling theme continues with two cut-outs fitted with rubber grommets at the top that can be used for water cooling, as well as a 120mm pre-installed fan in the rear. Also we find ventilated expansion slot covers, a large ventilated area to the right of those and a bottom mounted PSU slot.

The right side of the chassis is fairly straightforward, covered with a simple side panel and both side panels are held on with quick release thumb screws, which are always a welcome addition.
