Enermax Platimax 850W Semi Modular Power Supply Review

Inside we find a fan branded ED142512M-DA with support for up to 12 volts and 0.45 amps.

The entire unit features a very clean design and layout and we can see high levels of attention to detail with component arrangement here.

The AC receptacle has components which undertake the transient filtering required to deliver clean power.

The Enermax 850W Platimax uses a bridge rectifier capable of delivering more than enough power to supply this unit with the 850W it needs.

The Japanese capacitors use large black heatsinks to keep everything running cool and efficient.

The Enermax Platimax 850W uses two X caps.

The Enermax Platimax 850W features protections with a secondary daughter-board supporting four 12 volt rails.

The modular PCB has two electrolytic caps for further noise and ripple filtering before power delivery.

The 12 volt rails are regulated by six mosfets and DC to DC converters.
