Enermax Triathlor 450W Non-Modular Power Supply Review

A Closer Look – Interior
The Enermax Triathlor 450W is built entirely by Enermax, no OEM sourcing here. This is always good to see as very few companies produce their power supplies themselves these days. FSP, Compucase/NEC, Seasonic, SuperFlower and a few other power supply “giants” tend to produce most of them.
The fan that is equipped is a high performance Enermax Twister Bearing Silence 120mm fan. This is Enermax’s own fan design, no ADDA OEM fans here.
The rear input has the AC line filtering with four Y Caps and a single X cap.
The rails are generated from two DC to DC converters with four fets to rectify the 12V rail.
The single and main hold up cap is a Matsushita/Panasonic 400 V/390 μF/85°C capacitor.
We can see the main transformer at the centre is quite small because it only has to deal with 450W of power, not that much by PSU standards these days. All filtering caps for the rails are provided by Nippon Chemi-Con and are rated for 105 degrees celsius.
