So many companies are now looking for new ways to ditch the driver and give you a nice relaxing drive as you put your feet up instead of putting them down on the gas pedal. So why not go smaller? Ignore your car and the fleet of self-driving taxi’s and chat to a friend while you ride a self-driving bike.
The cyclotron is a concept created by Charles Bombardier, inspired by both fiction and reality. Based on both the Lit Motors self-balancing C1 bike and everyone’s favourite science-fiction bike, the Tron Light Cycle, the Cyclotron would allow people to sit back and enjoy their journeys with friends or family.
The new concept would feature two passengers facing one another much like you would be seated on a train. This means that not only are you happy and comfortable while you are driven to work but you can chat to your friend (or play against them on your favourite game).
While still only a concept, why would you not be interested in a little more mobile alternative? Being smaller than a car the new system could be welcomed by both private owners and companies such as Uber, who are already looking at getting driverless taxi’s on our roads by 2020.
