EpicGear Morpha RGB Optical Gaming Mouse Review

A Closer Look

It’s immediately apparent that the Epic Gear Morpha is a great looking mouse. It features a slick ergonomic design with a heavily arched design that’s sure to benefit palm grip gamers, but there’s also some hard-wearing rubber grip textures down the sides, allowing you to easily use a fingertip/claw grip play style.

Down the left side, you’ll find two buttons, which are back/forward by default, but they can be reprogrammed to suit your needs.

On the right side of the mouse, more of the lovely rubber coating to help improve your grip, but no more side buttons here as this mouse is designed for left handed use.

Up on the top, you’ll find a pair of switched that can be used for on-the-fly DPI adjustments, or reprogrammed to switch profiles, macros and more. There are four LED indicator lights here too, which allows you to see your DPI settings at a glance. The scroll wheel is nice and large, and comes with a notched soft rubber grip for added control, while also featuring a clickable design and ring LED lighting on the edge for some added visual flair.

Both the LMB and RMB come mounted on pivots and springs of their own, giving them a very nice tactile feedback and independent control.

Those who love a bit of RGB lighting will find lights in the scroll wheel, as well as on the EG and Morpha logos located at the back of the mouse.

There are only two PTFE feet on the Morpha, but they’re pretty huge and should allow the mouse a lot of glide even on softer gaming surfaces.

Like your mouse to be light and agile for twitchy shooters, or do you prefer is much heavier and smoother for stability and accuracy? Lift off the magnetic mounted top cover and you’ll find four weights which can be lifted out, allowing you to tweak the overall weight and balance of the mouse to suit your taste.

Each of the four weights is 5g, and having a +/- 20G adjustment is a big difference, and can significantly change the feel of the mouse while working or gaming.
