Final Thoughts

Price

The EpicGear Morpha is available for around £60, which isn’t cheap, but given the pretty comprehensive feature set and the flawless performance, it’s pretty competitive, around the same price as the Cougar 700M, Corsair M65, Steelseries Rival 300, etc, and it keeps up with, or beats, any of them in performance and features.

Overview

Shopping for a new gaming mouse can be a demanding task, with so many brands on the market all claiming to have the best hardware, all having drastically different designs and ergonomics, different sensors and the list goes on.  The EpicGear Morpha doesn’t offer anything in the way of innovation, few products do these days, but that’s no bad thing. However, everything that it does do it does very well, and that makes it a great choice for anyone who wants a competent mouse that’s going to be just as nimble working through memes on Facebook, as it would be in competitive eSports tournament.

The sensor performance is faultless, we’re very impressed with it and with the large slipmats on the base, the mouse glides effortlessly, giving you accurate results with ease. Add to that the weight tuning system, you can find the level of control that suits your playstyle very quickly. I’m sure the CS:GO scene will want the mouse super light and twitchy, but again, you have that customisation here.

The software looks a little dated and garish, but it has all the right features and it’s easy to use. Being able to tweak button configurations, macros, profiles, sensor performance and more can give you that edge in your favourite games, so it’s worth having a little tweak to see what does and doesn’t work for you.

The build quality is rock solid, and the aesthetics are certainly pleasing too, although that’s admittedly a subjective matter. For around £60, the Morpha certainly has what it takes to battle alongside some of the bigger gaming brands on the market, and it certainly gets our recommendation.
