Overview

The EpicGear ZorA is a well-rounded product, offering a good range of features for a decent price, but it’s still priced awfully close to some very strong competitors. However, EpicGear has gone a little extra distance to give you added value for money. The sensor on the ZorA is pretty good, and you can get better sensor-equipped mice for the same money, albeit with a lot less features. For your investment, you get excellent build quality, fully programmable buttons, and a very welcome weight tuning system that certainly add value.

The design stands out, this is clearly a gaming mouse and it’s certainly up to that task. The ergonomics are great to hold and use for work and long gaming sessions without any issue and those hard-wearing rubber grips mean you’re unlikely to lose control mid-game anytime soon. Added bonuses like the braided cable and LED lighting certainly add to the visual appeal too, and you would be happy to show this off if someone saw it on your desktop.

Overall, I can’t really fault this mouse. If I could make one minor improvement it would be to make the weight tuning system a little easier to work with, as I had to reach for a knife to pick out the weights as I simply couldn’t do it with my fingers; it’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s something that could have been done better.

The software packs all the features you could need, and the macro engine is especially good. Being able to customise the mouse with configs, macros and sensor configurations over five on-board profiles makes it very tournament friendly, making it a tempting option for those looking for a mid-budget competitive gaming mouse.
