You don’t often see me writing articles any more, because I, throughout the years hired a good, strong team to do the bulk of the content, while I could focus on other areas including the maintenance side of things and web development.
It’s been 5 strong years from when we started back in February 2005 as a one man band and moved on to bigger and better things as time went on, and while we had our ups and downs, it has been a great ride throughout, but sadly all good things must come to an end.
With Intel supposedly dropping out of the DIY market, we had to re-evaluate our situation on what we did, and with our content team and myself having extensive knowledge of hardware, we can’t honestly see a place for a site like eTeknix within the world any more.
I wanted to keep this short and sweet, as it really pains me to say that we are closing the site effective from Tuesday 2nd April and want to say a few key messages to a lot of people.
To the manufacturers and sponsors who have helped us along the way; thank you for your support as without you sending us products, we wouldn’t have been able to supply our readers with the most up-to-date content around.
To anyone who has helped me along the way, I and the team are forever in your debt.
Lastly to our loyal readers and devoted fans, without you, none of this would have been possible. You really were the reason we kept going for so long, and in a way we now feel as though we’ve let you down by liquidating eTeknix and moving on to other things.
To say I’m not choked up writing this would be a lie. I’ve put countless hours of blood, sweat and tears into eTeknix and it pains me to be in this situation, but I hope I may still get to talk to many of you by one means or another.
It’s almost 1am on April 1st now, and it’s been a tiring day trying to sort this all out, so for now, I’d like to say thank you for supporting us throughout all of these years, and I wish you all the very best for the future.
