It’s been another busy week here at eTeknix, with another great selection of product reviews. This week we have seen the very cool Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce and the budget friendly Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 OC Vapor-X graphics cards going through our test bench. For all you gamers we have been putting to the test the F.L.Y.9 flight stick for the Xbox 360 and if you’re more of a PC gamer we have the Roccat Savu gaming mouse. Another great review this week comes in the shape of the heavy duty Armor Revo Full-Tower PC Chassis, one of the latest gaming chassis from Thermaltake.
For a little change of pace from the usual graphics cards and gaming peripherals this week we have the Gigabyte SkyVision WS100 WHDI Caster and the budget friendly Kworld Dark Pyramid D15u+ PC Speakers, and last but by no means least, for those who likes their gaming to be more console based and zombie orientated, we have the Resident Evil HD Chronicles Collection for PS3.
Check out the links below to see how each product got on in our tests, all links open in a new tab.
Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce 3X OC 2GB Graphics Card Review
Whether you are an AMD or Nvidia partner, your aim is to make a unique card that can harness the chips power and performance, while adding a unique spin onto things, whether it be from an overclock straight out of the factory, or a custom cooler. Heck, it may even be both, giving you a sweet recipe that will keep the consuming wanting more.
Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 OC Vapor-X 1GB Graphics Card Review
The 7700 series sadly isn’t something that has got our blood pumping when it launched, purely because of the market it was aimed at, and the price point that it came in at, though time has been a great healer for this particular range.
Kworld Dark Pyramid D15u+ Speaker Review
Before I got this product for review I had never even heard of Kworld, a company that has been doing the rounds since 1999, they are one of those brand names that just doesn’t stick in your mind, if I have used or seen their products in the past, I don’t remember them. This is partly due to the fact they have been a OEM brand up until a few years ago, where they decided to make a push with their own branding with a goal to “become the leader of digital entertainment”, a pretty high goal if there ever was one, especially given that juggernauts of companies like Apple, Sony and Microsoft battling for control of the planet, even audio companies like Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser and Bang and Olufsen, with plenty more like them already well rooted in the industry.
Thermaltake Armor Revo Full-Tower Chassis Review
This week I’ve been taking a look at the Armor Revo Full-Tower chassis from Thermaltake. With their long history of making everything from servers, power supplies and cooling solutions all help in their knowledge of how to build a good PC chassis and with this full tower chassis sporting a long list of features and extras such as full USB 3.0 support, a whole range of connections on the front panel, room for upto 8 expansion cards, 6 storage drives and 4 optical drives as well as being capable of water cooling all add up to make this an exciting case.
Cyborg F.L.Y.9 Wireless Flight Stick Xbox 360 Review
Flying games can be pretty serious business, with plenty to choose on the market for PC gamers, be you a fan of full on simulations or arcade frenzies, the gaming world is crammed full of exciting sky bound entertainment, so its only natural that you would want the ultimate control over your aircraft of choice to give you that extra realism or a competitive edge in your favourite game.
Gigabyte SkyVision WS100 WHDI Caster Review
There are a number of devices on the market today that try to act as part of a solution to a problem that doesn’t need fixing and there are also products out there that act as a solution to a problem that may not have been thought of or just plainly overlooked. Earlier in the year we took a look at a WHDI caster from Edimax that can solve more than one problem by eliminating the need for wires trailing between two devices.
Roccat Savu Mid Size Gaming Mouse Review
Roccat are renowned for their feature rich products such as the Isku gaming keyboard and the Kone. They often lead the way with innovative products and ideas like the upcoming Roccat PowerGrid app for smartphones.
Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection PS3 Review
This week I’ve been playing the latest title from the people at Capcom, the Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection, a HD make over edition of the 2007 Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and the 2009 title Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, both of which started their life on the Nintendo Wii and have now been ported to the Playstation 3 with the inclusion of Playstation Move controls in favour of the original Wii Mote of course.
We’ll be back next week with more great reviews for you, but don’t forget we still have loads more great content for you over our Forums and Competitions sections, or why not keep up to date with all the latest news and reviews by following us on Facebook or Twitter.
