The past 24 hours have been good for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita owners after it was discovered that a glitch on the PlayStation store has been allowing people to unlock the full version of Minecraft for free!
The glitch is fairly simple to activate, just load the PlayStation store from a web browser and select the free demo for Minecraft. You then also add the full version of Minecraft to your cart, thus having both the demo and the full version in your cart. However, this triggers a “free” sale to go through as it can’t identify the full copy over the demo and you end up with the full copy without having to exchange any cash.
It’s worth keeping in mind that Sony could ban accounts, charge people for the game or have it removed for doing this, so do so at your own risk.
What’s funny about this is that Microsoft recently purchased the game for a staggering $2.5 billion; imagine their faces when they find out that Sony are practically giving it away for free!
