Evercool Booster Wrist Pad Review

After opening the blister packaging very carefully with a sharp knife, we found the USB power-cable (USB to DC) to be hidden at the back below the Booster. This cable is very similar to those used on other Evercool products.
From the front of the Booster, you can see the two 40mm fans with a metallic grill to protect the blades and your fingers. It has been finished with a very shiny metal plate at the front giving it a very smart look. The fans are perpendicular to the base and so the air is pushed straight over the hand. The fans each consist of 11 small blades which are placed with a very small pitch angle. For this reason the fans should run quite quietly even considering the 4500 RPM that they are doing. This does lead me to suspect that they do not move that much air and Evercool do not include this in their specifications.
From the back of the Booster, you see the logo for the Evercool Booster with their slogan Evercool ideal cooling’.
You also can see the quite large but well designed fan intake holes which stretch round the sides of the curved Booster. There are 5 on each side, with the shortest at the top. This gives the product some nice curves and lines. It is clearly well designed from an aesthetic point of view.
From either side you see much the same view, the side of the grills and the metal plate from the front. The only exception is the DC socket for the power supply. There is a socket on both sides which is a very practical idea allowing the power-supply to be plugged in from either side depending on which side you prefer the cable to be running.
On the bottom of the Booster are 4 feet which are designed to be very slippy so that the whole Booster can slide with your arm. Unlike most products now a days, they have used 6 screws to hold the casing together and these are still visible. This does however fit in nicely with the metallic front panel. Also on the bottom is the Evercool Booster label which is placed inside a small cut-in square, presumably so that it does not peel off.
